Materials Girls is built on one belief: when young girls see themselves in science, they can change the world. Every program we offer is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and show girls that they belong in STEM.

Programs

Weekly Meetings

Our weekly meetings create an encouraging and exciting space where girls can explore STEM through fun experiments, team challenges, and mentorship. These gatherings give them consistent opportunities to grow their confidence, ask questions, and improve their knowledge of STEM.

Monthly Beach Cleanups

Through monthly beach cleanups, girls experience how science and sustainability go hand-in-hand. They learn that their actions matter and that they can protect their community and the planet. These cleanups turn environmental care into empowerment, showing them that they can be part of global solutions. The trash collected is then taken to our meetings and repurposed into art and other projects.

Field Trips

Field trips allow girls to imagine their own futures in STEM and experience real-life disciplines. Meeting women in science and seeing cutting-edge innovation firsthand inspires them to picture themselves on the same path, breaking barriers and leading the next generation.

Guest Speakers

Hearing directly from scientists and engineers who have experienced their respective STEM fields helps inspire girls to follow in their footsteps. Past speakers have connected them with powerful stories of persistence, creativity, and discovery.

Summer Camp

Through summer camps, girls continue their learning beyond the school year. They get more opportunities to keep learning and discovering.
